Adding and removing elements

When you create a new item, the Item Editor workspace opens displaying a single-Part tutorial with the default answer type of solutionMultipleChoiceRadio. You can delete the default answer type, and add another answer type. You can also add more Parts, Hints, or other elements such as links to eText books.

To add an element:

• Right-click above or below where you want to add an element, select Insert before or Insert after, and make a selection. For example, to add a Part below the current Part, select Insert after >part >part.
• Another way to add Hints and Parts is to right-click add and select hint or part.

To remove an element:

• Right-click within the element to remove, and select Remove and the element to remove. For example, to remove a Part, select Remove > part.

Note:Because elements can be embedded within a Part, when you select Remove you may see a list of several elements. The first menu item is the specific element you clicked on. The remaining elements are those in which the specific element is embedded. When you remove a Part, the Part and all elements within it are deleted.
